About

Hundreds of students worldwide work among the 26 various LTER sites across the country, in addition to the various other international LTER sites. This blog was created for graduate students, with a variety of backgrounds (ecology, geology, antrhopology, environmental science) in the LTER network as an open venue to share stories, photos, and research ranging from the failed experiments to the successful endeavors. Hopefully the stories shared in this blog will give you a sense of what it is like to work in the heat of the deserts, the muck of the swamps, the slopes of forests, the depths of the oceans, and the frigid air of frozen tundra from a graduate student perscpective.  We encourage people to leave comments or ask questions about the research that the LTER students are conducting.
